Lobo is getting his own movie. Should be great news to those that love him but no, it's in fact the worst thing that I/we could hear right now. Not only is it going to be directed by the same prick who brought us Bitchney Spears [Joseph Kahn] -- SERIOUSLY?! DEL TORO FROM HELLBOY WOULD DO A BETTER JOB! (And he's shit.) -- But the movie rating is going to be PG-13...

Waaaiit a minute... Did I read that right? "Avatar effects"... PLEASE tell me he's not talking about Avatar: The Last Air Bender?! Cause if he is, this fuck needs to be shot in the nuts, and then the head... but only after drowning his bleeding lions in about 2L's of Vodka... then setting it on fire... Just because. ♥

Oookay. This is one of the few testaments that shows how much I pay attention to the media circuit. Apparently it's this movie that's been in production for a millenia and has been hyped up as hell by both the media and fans of the creator. Will that be enough to save Lobo from this travesty? Probably not.

*Heavy-misery ridden-sigh* It's been hard enough keeping Lobo alive over the past 10 years he's been out of the comics. What the hell is Silver trying to do? Kill him off entirely?
No one aside from Keith and Roger has been able to bring Justice to Lobo - (DC's lack of advertising didn't help matters either) - and because of that, Lobo went from one of the most popular DC characters, to some big mook people bring out to either stir shit up or make fun of at his expense and while I don't know how they manage to do this but they always manage to get his personality WRONG. --

God!, I just want to blow up every theater within a ten mile radius of here... or off myself. Seriously, I'd be less offended if you shot my dog. (Not that I have one.) Ya see, I love Lobo, to DEATH here. He's probably one of my -if not THEE- most serious "fictional obsessions" I've had. (And no, I'm not afraid to admit this.) I feel in love with the bastich at 11 years old and it's still burning strong at 25. He's just one character I've never been able to let go. Oh sure, I find other guys to obsess over for a little while but eventually, I end up going back to Lobo like a stray dog.

... Heaven help any man who falls in love with me. (He's got one hell of a shadow to fill... Not that I'd date Lobo (or a wanna-be) in a heartfelt relationship. It would be more like, "You horny?" - "Yeah." - "Wanna do it?" - "Frag yes." kind of thing. XD)

So yeah. The next couple of years is going to be hell for me. IMDB says there's a "Lobo film in development" and the date next to it is 2010... Let's hope that 2012 zombie disaster can't tell time and hit us a little earlier than expected. (That's when the VENOM spin off is coming out... Ironically.)
